The centre of attraction is the River Avon, which flows around the town and offers newly refurbished facilities on the riverbanks particularly pleasant under the new lights on a summer evening.

During the summer months the meadows are packed with visitors enjoying fishing, rowing and boat hire. There is nothing better than a trip down river on a sunny day!

The River Festival brings thousands of people to the river in July where up to 100 boats are gathered. The illuminated boat parade and spectacular firework display are not to be missed.

The Eastern Festival in June is becoming another permanent event together with the Angling Festival in August, which is not just for enthusiasts as the rest of the family can visit Evesham’s interesting and individual shops situated in the High Street and Bridge Street.
